The Sonoma Mountains are a NW-SE-trending range of the California Coast Ranges. The range is approximately 14 miles (22.5 km) long and separates the Sonoma Creek watershed from the Petaluma River and Tolay Creek watersheds. The highest point of this range is Sonoma Mountain, at an elevation of 2,287 feet (697 meters).
