Location: Reed and others (1978, locality 2) show this occurrence in the southern half of Section 30, T. 31 N., R. 18 W., of the Seward Meridian in the headwaters of a northwesterly flowing tributary to Pingston Creek.
Geology: Lower Paleozoic phyllite of Reed and Nelson's (1980) Pzsv unit contains a stratiform lens of chalcocite five centimeters thick. Copper carbonate minerals are sporadically present in the surrounding area (Reed and others, 1978).
Workings: Reconnaissance mapping, stream silt and rock sampling are all that have been done here. Copper carbonate minerals are sporadically present in the surrounding area (Reed and others, 1978).
Age: Lower Paleozoic; Assumed to be age of enclosing phyllite, assigned to the lower Paleozoic by Reed and Nelson (1980).
