Location: The prospect is on the west side of a north-trending ridge on the south side of Christian Creek; the floodplain of Nome River flanks the ridge on the west. The prospect is at an elevation of about 700 feet. It is locality 24 of Hummel (1962 [MF 248]) and included in locality 31 of Cobb (1972 [MF 463], 1978 [OFR 78-93]). The prospect is located within about 1,000 feet of the coordinates.
Geology: The prospect is a vein-type occurrence of scheelite (locality 40, Hummel, 1975). It is mapped as being on the north or hanging wall side of a east-northeast-striking fault (Hummel,1962 [MF 248]). It is the northernmost of several scheelite occurrences near Christian Creek, Rocky Mountain Creek, and Nelson Gulch on the east side of Nome River. The prospect is in micaceous calc-schist; the schistosity strikes north-northeast and dips at shallow to moderate angles to the east.
Workings: The vein is opened by a pit or other shallow surface workings.
Alteration: Quartz veining?
