Location: This occurrence is on the outwash plain of Worthington Glacier, about four-tenths of a mile northwest of the Richardson Highway. It is at an elevation of about 2,200 feet in the SE1/4 section 14, T. 8 S., R. 3 W., of the Copper River Meridian. This occurrence is probably located to within one-quarter mile. This is locality 82 of Cobb and Matson (1972) and locality 92 of Winkler and others (1981 [OFR 80-892-B]).
Geology: Scheelite has been identified in stream gravels at this location (Jasper, 1967). Bedrock in the area is greenschist-facies metaflysch of the Late Cretaceous Valdez Group (Winkler and others, 1981 [OFR 80-892-A]).
Workings: Only reconnaissance sampling.
Age: Holocene.
