Location: This occurrence is at an elevation of about 5,100 feet on the west, valley wall of upper Granite Creek. It is 0.1 mile southwest of the center of sec. 34, T. 26 N., R. 8 E., Seward Meridian. The location is accurate to within 1/2 mile.
Geology: Clautice and others (1990) describe this occurrence as 'chalcopyrite-bearing volcanic [rock] of Talkeetna Formation, in scree below 30x60 stain near felsite.' A sample of chalcopyrite-bearing rock contains more than 1.0 percent copper. This occurrence may be genetically related to TK097 and TK099.
Workings: A chalcopyrite-bearing sample of volcanic rocks of the Talkeetna Formation contain more than 1.0 percent copper (Clautice and others, 1990).
Alteration: Copper staining.
