Location: This occurrence is on hill 3730 on the east side of the Upper Baird Glacier and about 7.1 miles east of Maury Peak; it is about 0.2 mile northwest of the center of section 21, T. 53 S., R. 80 E. The location is accurate.
Geology: This occurrence consists of bornite in quartz-epidote veinlets in an unstated rock type that is probably similar to the quartz diorite of Tertiary or Cretaceous age at a nearby similar deposit (SD064) (Clark and others, 1970 [OF 70-73]). A sample contained 1,000 parts per million (ppm) copper and 20 ppm silver.
Workings: Only sampling by government geologists.
Age: The occurrence is in Tertiary or Cretaceous plutonic rocks.
