Location: This occurrence is located 600 feet inland from the beach of Norton Bay, just south of the mouth of the Koyuk River and about 2.5 miles south-southeast of the village of Koyuk. The location is accurate within 1 mile.
Geology: Sample 30 of Berryhill (1962) was a concentrate of 15 pans of creek sands collected 600 feet inland from the beach. The sample contained a trace of scheelite.
Workings: One sample of panned concentrates was collected from this location; it contained a trace of scheelite (Berryhill, 1962).
Age: Quaternary.
