The locality is in the Wrangell-Saint Elias National Park and Preserve.
Location: This occurrence is on the west valley wall of upper Hawkins Glacier. It is at an elevation of about 5,500 feet, 5,000 feet southeast of peak 11040 in the NE1/4 of section 30, T. 6 S., R. 20 E. of the Copper River Meridian. This is locality 43 of MacKevett (1976); the location is probably accurate to within 500 feet.
Geology: This occurrence is in altered Tertiary granodiorite. A sample contained 7 parts per million (ppm) silver, 200 ppm bismuth, and 500 ppm molybdenum (MacKevett, 1976).
Workings: Limited surface sampling.
Age: Tertiary based on the age of the granodiorite host rock.
