Location: The exact location of this lode prospect is uncertain; however, it is assumed that it is somewhere in the headwaters of Steele Creek where bedrock is exposed. This location is arbitrarily placed in the center of sec. 1, T. 1N., R. 1E., Fairbanks Meridian, but it could be miles away.
Geology: Mulligan (1974, p.13) reported that the Steele Creek lode prospect consisted of a quartz vein with sparse gold. There are no other references, and the exact location was not given. It is assumed that it is somewhere in the headwaters of Steele Creek where bedrock is exposed.
