Location: This occurrence is in bedrock exposures along upper Ophir Creek (BN099) about 2.8 miles upstream of its confluence with Crooked Creek. It is locality 76 of Gamble (1988).
Geology: Gamble (1988) reports that a quartz boudin in chlorite schist from this locality contained 0.1 ppm Au. Bedrock exposures are limited in this area; this occurrence may be close to a regional contact between lower Paleozoic mafic metavolcanic and metasedimentary assemblages (Till and others, 1986).
Workings: No workings or exploration activities are known at this locality.
Age: Unknown; not clear if this is a metamorphosed anomaly or if it is superimposed on the metamorphic rocks.
