Location: The Peaches prospect is at an elevation of about 4,600 feet on the south wall of the valley of upper Copper Creek. the map site is about 2 miles south-southeast of Keevy Peak, in the NE1/4 of sec. 7, T. 12 S., R. 2 W., of the Fairbanks Meridian. The location is accurate to within 0.5 mile.
Geology: The general area of the Peaches prospect is underlain by Lower Paleozoic or possibly Upper Precambrian schists cut by Late Cretaceous stocks and Tertiary sills and dikes. The deposit is in schist, and consists of stratiform layers of massive sulfides, chiefly galena and sphalerite, accompanied by quartz and sericite (Inmet Mining, oral communication, 1999).
Workings: There has been surface exploration only.
Age: Mineralization probably is syngenetic with the Lower Paleozoic or Upper Precambrian host rocks.
Commodities (Major) - Ag, Pb, Zn
Development Status: None
Deposit Model: Kuroko massive sulfide (Cox and Singer, 1986; model 28a)
