Location: Nugget Creek is an east tributary to lower Grand Central River. This occurrence is 1 mile east of the divide between Nugget Creek and the headwaters of Nome River and 0.25 mile south of the Nome-Taylor road. It is locality 70 of Hummel (1975).
Geology: Hummel (1975) identified this occurrence as stratabound with mineralized and silicified marble; additional information was not provided. This occurrence is about 1 mile or less to the north of several prospects where stratabound, copper-bearing, silica-rich rocks are developed in marble. These prospects include NM051, NM053, and NM054.
Age: Proterozoic, early Paleozoic, or mid-Cretaceous.
Alteration: Silica-rich rocks in marble; silicification?
Development Status: None
Deposit Model: Stratabound, mineralized, silica-rich rock in marble.
