Location: This placer gold prospect is near the mouth of Newman Creek, a tributary to Dry Creek. The site is in sec. 12, T. 11 S., R. 2 E., of the Fairbanks Meridian.
Geology: Newman Creek drainage basin includes Tertiary sandstone and Devonian Totatlanika Schist. The lode source of the placer gold is unknown.
Workings: There are only surface placer workings, all dating to 1912 or earlier.
Age: Quaternary.
