Location: The Montana Bonanza prospect is at an elevation of about 250 feet on the west valley wall of an unnamed creek that enters Peril Strait opposite Peschani Point. The prospect is 0.3 mile north-northwest of the southeast corner of sec. 29, T. 49 S., R. 63 E. It is MAS no. 0021140104 (U.S. Bureau of Land Management, 2002). The location is accurate within 0.2 mile.
Geology: The rocks in the vicinity of this prospect are part of a Cretaceous batholith that consists mainly of biotite-hornblende tonalite and hornblende tonalite (Loney and others, 1975). The only information about this prospect is that one or more claims were staked for an unstated commodity (U.S. Bureau of Land Management, 2002).
