MAS/MIL number 20760079.
Location: The Lucky Strike prospect is at an elevation of about 3,850 feet on an unnamed stream that flows into the northeast end of Black Lake. It is in the SE1/4 sec. 24, T. 27 N., R. 8 E., Seward Meridian. The location is accurate to within 1/2 mile.
Geology: This prospect is at the contact between basalt and Jurassic(?) granodiorite (Kurtak and others, 1992). The basalt is iron-stained near the contact. One claim was staked in 1978 (Kurtak and others, 1992). Rock-chip samples collected by the U.S. Bureau of Mines contain up to 60 parts per million copper and 134 ppm zinc (Balen, 1990). A panned-concentrate sample contain 214 ppm zinc.

Alteration: Contact metamorphism; iron staining.
