Location: The Hegan and Lefebre prospect is located in the NW1/4NW1/4 sec. 5, T. 1 S., R. 2 W., Fairbanks Meridian. This prospect is about 25 feet east of Eva Creek, approximately 1 mile upstream fromt its mouth; the prospect is about 1 mile north-northeast of the town of Ester.
Geology: A tunnel was driven on a north-trending vein that exposed quartz and a cross-cutting fracture zone in fractured country rock (Smith, 1913 [B 525, p. 207]). There is no data on ore grade,although it is assumed that this was a gold prospect (Cobb, 1976 [OFR 76-662, p. 44]).
