Outcrops of kinzigitic rocks of the Valpelline unit (Dent Blanche nappe), in which platy graphite is a quite common accessory (Novarese, 1905).

Veins of specular hematite (Stutz, 1940) are sometimes observable in erratics of mylonites and sericite-albite gneiss of the Arolla unit (Dent Blanche nappe) .
