A former small surface Gypsum mine/deposit located in secs. 3 & 4, T13S, R14E, on private land. First produced in 1885. This location probably had historic production of gypsum, but is now a residential area.

Mineralization is a lacustrine gypsum deposit with veins of satin spar. This gypsum is fair to good grade. It is hosted in shale, sandstone and unconsolidated clay and mud. Occurrence is probably in a small fromer lake bed. A near vertical fault passes through the pit and has a throw of about 10 inches. Several 1 to 2.5 foot thick beds of massive light brown to white gypsum are separated by clay partings.

Reserves and resources believed to be small. This material was calcined for plaster in Tucson.
