A surface Fluorspar occurrence located in sec. 5, T9N, R13W, GSRM, 9.1 km (5.6 miles) SSW of the Alamo Lake Dam, in the Ives Peak area*. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is meters.

* NOTE: There is no "Ives Peak" listed in the USGS GNIS database.

Mineralization is a vein deposit (Mineral occurrence model: Model code 174; USGS model code 26b; deposit model name: Fluorspar deposits (fluorite veins)), hosted in sheared Neoproterozoic gneiss. Local rocks include Early Proterozoic metamorphic rocks.
