A coal mine.
Located, along with other mines, in the Coal Creek area about 7 miles north of Price. The first mines in this area were developed in the early 1900s, but most of the mining occurred between 1940 and 1965.
The Aberdeen mine is one of the deepest mines in the United States with plans to go to a cover depth of about 3,150 feet.
