A former silica mine located 3.2 km (2.0 miles) ESE of Cottonwood Heights, along the western margin of the Wasatch Mountains, S of Big Cottonwood Canyon.
Mineralization is hosted in Lake Bonneville shoreline gravels (quartzite).
