A Hg-Cu occurrence/group of claims/prospect located in the SW¼SW¼SW¼ sec. 4, T30S, R14W, SLM, 6.2 km (3.9 miles) NW of Blue Mountain (coordinates of record) (2 miles NE of Iron Mountain), on Bureau of Land Management administered land (located claim). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a replacement deposit hosted in rocks of the Washburn Volcanics (Pliocene-Middle Cambrian dolomite [youngest]). The ore body is tabular, strikes N40E and dips 18NW at a thickness of 15.24 meters, width of 15.24 meters, length of 30.48 meters, depth-to-bottom of 15.24 meters and a depth-to-top of 0.00 meters. Cinnabar mineralization in the pit is 20 to 30 feet thick, mostly vertical & pinches out about 20 feet from the top. Local rocks include Upper Cambrian carbonate rocks in western Utah.
Related tectonic structures include a miogeosyncline.
Workings include surface and underground openings with a length of 15.24 meters, overall depth of 15.24 meters, overall length of 15.24 meters and an overall width of 1.22 meters and comprised of a 50 foot inclined shaft and a prospect pit 300 meters E.
