This mine is located in Township 10 S., Range 7 E., Section 32, NE ¼, NE ¼, SE ¼., near the town of Herod.

The Gibbons Mine was an unsuccessful shallow prospect. Weller et al. (1952) disclosed that a measurable fault with a strike of N 40° E was found on site, but contained no galena, sphalerite or even fluorspar. The mine was operated by two individuals with surnames Cantrell and Gibbons.
