This property is in Township 11 S., Range 6 E., Section 25, SE ¼, NE ¼, SW ¼, near the town of Herod.

The Desautels Prospect was an unsuccessful prospect in locating fluorspar, but no mineralization was found on site. Weller et al. (1952) reported a 100 foot shaft that crossed a fault that measured N 20° E.
