Forest road accessed from State Route 20 8.7 km, (5.4 miles) east of Sherman Pass. Graves Mountain Road travels 8.5 km (5.3 miles) from State Route 20 to Graves Mountain Lookout. Coordinates are given at the beginning of the road.

On the road to Graves Mountain dark green diopside crystals up to 4" long occur.
