Iron explorations carried out in SE-NE and NE-SE Sec. 23 T43N-R35W, on the property of the Sherwood Mine. One exploration was conducted by Republic Steel Corp. during 1933, with thirteen holes drilled, labeled S1 - S12 and S18. Another exploration was conducted by unknown interests at an unknown time, with three holes drilled, labeled SH1, SH3, and SH4.
