A former Au-Ag mine located in secs. 19 & 30, T13S, R34E, MDM, 2.3 km (1.4 miles) ESE of Kearsarge Peak (coordinates of record), on National Forest wilderness land (John Muir Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters. Land is unsurveyed and the location is projected.

NOTE: USGS MRDS file #10103507 states that this mine is in the Kearsarge District. This is incorrect. The Kearsarge District is located near the town of Kearsarge, on the western flank of the Inyo Range. Kearsarge Peak is located in the eastern Sierra Nevada, a considerable distance from the Kearsarge District.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with a vein a few feet thick, hosted in monzonite. The ore body strikes NE and dips 80NW. Quartz monzonite occurs in close proximity to a schist belt, cut by quartz monzonite and aplite dikes. Associated rocks include quartz monzonite and granite. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 3 (Mojave Desert, Death Valley area, and Eastern Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 250 foot adit with some shallow shafts and short tunnels.
