A former underground Fluorspar-Mn-Be mine located in the NE¼ sec. 5, T7S, R32E, 12 miles N of Duncan, 2.5 miles (E per MRDS ? - not possible) W of the Arizona-New Mexico state line, on BLM-administered land. Discovered 1918.
Mineralization is a tabular ore body 3 meters thick hosted in andesite. Medium- to coarse-grained, colorless or green fluorite as lenses in veins of dense, massive, banded quartz cutting Tertiary volcanics. Ore control was fracturing and faulting. Alteration was silicification.
