A Mn occurrence located in secs. 30 & 31, T7S, R16E, about 7¼ miles NW of Mammoth and about 1¾ miles SE of Camp Grant Wash in the Black Hills, on private land. NOTE: The MRDS file provides the coordinates and then states that this mine is about 4 miles S of Mammoth in the Mammoth District. This set of data are incongruous. The township & range values also indicate that the MRDS stated physical location and district are in error since Mammoth is in T8S, and anything S of it would be T8S or T9S, not T7S, which is decidedly N of Mammoth. If the coordinates are correct, then the locality is as entered in this file.
Mineralization is a vein deposit mixed with granite pebbles. Low grade.
No production to 1943.
