An iron mine in magnetite ore located about ½ mile NE of Schooleys Mtn. Started 1872, closed 1873, reopened 1877-1880. Workings featured 2 shafts (35 feet deep in 1877), one shaft later deepened to 50 feet. 2 ore veins: 1st. 5 to 9 feet wide; 2nd. was a lean vein 1 to 7 feet thick.
