California Creek flows in a westerly direction into the Tate River. The creek is located south-west of Irvinebank and North West of Mt Garnet (which is located in Tablelands Region).
Note: California Creek was previously shown under Tablelands Region when Mareeba Shire was amalgamated with three other shires (Atherton, Eacham and Herberton) to form the Tablelands Region in 2008.
Mareeba Shire de-amalgamated from the Tablelands Region with effect from 1 January 2014. Accordingly California Creek should now be shown as being in Mareeba Shire.
