Swit quarry was the locality name provided for a specimen of beryl that was presented by Ghosh to the mineral collection of the British Museum (Embrey, 1953). In his paper on the petrology of the eastern Bodmin Moor granite, Ghosh indicates this quarry as being located west of the Cheesewring quarry, immediately west of the upper "Withey brook" and southeast of Hill Tor. This is obviously the same as the Gold-diggings quarry.
