A former Mn-Fe occurrence/mine located 4.6 km ENE of Cartersville (center), along the western slope of Pine Mountain. Owned by Hale Georgia Minerals Corp., home office in Georgia (1974). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Local rocks include quartzite/phyllite.
Workings include unspecified surface and underground openings.
Production data: In 1917 several carloads of high-grade Mn ore were shipped from this mine, and in 1918, several hundred tons were shipped. Total production from the mine was 3,000 tons consisting of 2 tons of 40+% Mn ore, 500 tons of 40-% ore, and 300 tons of manganiferous Fe ore.
