A former Cu-Pb-Zn occurrence/mine located in the S½NE¼ sec. 4, T11N, R14E, SBM, about 2.6 km SSW of Columbia Mountain (summit), S of Macedonia Canyon (4 miles SE of Ames), on Bureau of Land Management administered federal reservation land (Mojave National Preserve/East Mojave National Scenic Area). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in gneiss. The ore body strikes NE and dips 70NW at a thickness of 9.14 meters and a length of 762 meters. The deposit is a vein in quartz porphyry intrusive. Local rocks include Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 2 (Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings with a length of 265.18 meters and an overall depth of 42.67 meters and comprised of 2 shafts to depths of 70 and 140 feet with a connecting drift on the 70 foot level at 160 feet in length. Other drifts were driven on the 140 level, totaling 600 feet.

Production data are found in: Tucker, W. Burling & Reid J. Sampson (1943b).

Production statistics: Year: 1918 (ore) (accurate): ^1.7 to 2% Cu, 7.8 to 10.6 ounces Ag/ton. Recovery percentage Ag at 260 grams/ton & Cu at 2 weight percent. The ore contains 1 to 2% Pb and 3 to 10% Zn.
