A zinc mine located NE of Markleton on Bull Shoals Lake. Mineralization is solution pockets and fractures in Powell Dolomite. Worked during WWI.
Alteration: Sphalerite Crystal-Shaped Cavities Present.
Commodity: Probably a good site to explore for mineral specimens
Deposit: 2 separate sphalerite bearing breccia beds are mentioned; one at the top of the shaft and one at the bottom.
Development: Should be about 1/2 mile NE from a road that in 1900 followed music creek from the north and climbs onto plateau to the s W of this mine. Music creek flows north into bull shoals lake.
Geology: Openings are at or near the base of the st. Joe marble. On north side of the hollow, opposite the openings, the st. Joe marble rests upon a thin bed of saccharoidal sandstone
