An underground mine consisting of one shaft, one adit, and five levels. Organized in 1853 and worked until 1871. Limited work was done between 1878 and 1911, at which time the mine was bought by Mass Consolidated Copper Company. Today the mine is owned by Evergreen Explorations. Produced approximately 3 million pounds of refined copper. Excellent specimens of copper and copper/silver "halfbreeds" have been recovered from the poor rock piles.
