A former underground Au-Pb-Cu-Ag mine discovered in 1920. Production ended 1937.

Mineralization involves a small granite pod surrounded by Acteres shale and siltstone. NE-trending Tertiary fractures are in the area. Tertiary basalts cap mesas locally. A large outcrop of Cave Creek quartz monzonite begins 1½ miles south of the mine.
