A Ag-Mo-Pb occurrence located in secs. 8 & 17, T15N, R13W, G&SRM, 4-5 miles S of Wikieup, on Bureau of Land Management administered land. The main mine workings are 1 mile W of the mill. The mill is 1 mile W of highway 93, 3 miles S of Wikieup. Owned by Emery Blevins, Wikieup, Midwest Resources, Incorporated (1962-1970). Operated by Vernon Taylor (1970). The USGS MRDS database accuracy for this locality is not presented.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in gneiss. The ore body is 9.14 meters 30 feet) wide and 1,609.3 meters long. Ore control was a large vein/dike that outcrops for over a mile, and a similar, but smaller, veins parallel to the main vein. Alteration is leaching of sulphides (probably pyrite). Local rocks include Early Proterozoic granitic rocks.
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 18.29 meters (50 feet). A dry concentrating plant was built ion 1958 but scrapped. A conventional wet jig plant was built in late 1958 and dismantled in 1959. The property was drilled by the Bagdad Copper Company in 1965.
