El Cuadrón is a district of the Spanish municipality of Garganta de los Montes, located in the Lozoya valley, in the northwest of the Community of Madrid. It is 72 km from Madrid. It has a population of about 30 inhabitants, an area of 10.15 km² and is located at an altitude of 1,125 meters above sea level.
El Cuadrón can be considered made up of the main nucleus and two more neighbourhoods, Las Eras del Soto and El Prado Gustar, to which we must add the Finca de Cobos. It is located in the Lozoya valley, in the northern part of the Community of Madrid, in the so-called Sierra Norte.
There are views of the high snow-capped peaks in winter, and the fertile lands formed by the flow of the Lozoya River and its tributaries.
El Cuadrón is delimited to the north by the Lozoya river and the Buitrago reservoir, to the south it borders with Garganta de los Montes, after the peak of La Cabeza. To the east, behind the M-604 regional highway, is the municipality of Lozoyuela and to the west it borders with Lozoya.
