Meet Lonely Planet’s 2026 Founding Class of Correspondents

Our goal with the Lonely Planet Correspondent Network (LPCN) is to inspire and empower travelers with social-first storytelling to go beyond sightseeing and immerse themselves in local cultures and ways of living.

We do this by connecting travelers with local stories and authentic first-hand experiences.

THE NETWORK

The Lonely Planet Correspondent Network is a global collective of passionate travelers sharing on-the-ground insights, stories and firsthand perspectives. Hand-selected by our social team, each creator leads with curiosity and a passion for meaningful travel, helping others explore the world on their own terms. No gatekeeping here.

We're thrilled to introduce our 2026 founding class, which spans over 20 destinations and areas of expertise. Every correspondent has been trained in the Lonely Planet writers’ manual, the source of truth we have turned to for decades to inform our iconic guidebooks.

Like all our local contributors, our correspondents offer real recommendations for travelers seeking real experiences in the world. Interested in being considered for our next class? Email us at correspondents@lonelyplanet.com.
