Episode 8: “The Teacher and the Magic of Love”
One morning, Nyari stopped in front of the school.
Through the windows, the children were calling out cheerfully.
Standing right in the middle of them was the village schoolteacher—a woman with kind eyes.
When class ended, the teacher called out to Nyari.
“Hello, Nyari. You’ve been spending a lot of time with the children lately, haven’t you?”
"Y-yeah… “But my magic always ends up failing… I wonder if I’m really helping at all.”
Nyari let his tail droop dejectedly.
The teacher smiled warmly and shook her head.
“It’s okay to fail. What matters is whether there’s ‘love’ in what you do.”
“Love…?”
Nyari tilted his head in confusion.
The teacher gently wrote the word on the blackboard with chalk.
‘Love is a heart that cares for others.’
“Love is like magic. You can’t see it, but it has the power to warm people’s hearts and turn them into smiles.”
Nyari’s eyes went wide.

The teacher smiled and nodded.
“Yes. If you have love, your magic will surely become gentler too.”
On the way home that day.
Nyari found a child crying.
He took a cookie out of his pocket and gently held it out.

The child wiped away their tears and smiled brightly.
“Thank you, Nyari!”
Seeing that smile, Nyari’s heart filled with a gentle warmth.

第8話「先生と愛の魔法」
ある朝、二ャリーは学校の前で立ち止まりました。
窓の向こうでは子どもたちが元気に声をあげています。

授業が終わると、先生は二ャリーに声をかけました。
「こんにちは、二ャリー。あなた、最近よく子どもたちのそばにいるわね」
「う、うん……。でも、ぼくの魔法はいつも失敗ばかりで……。ほんとに役に立ってるのかな」
二ャリーはしっぽをしゅんと垂らしました。
先生はにっこり笑って首をふります。
「失敗してもいいの。大切なのは、そこに“愛”があるかどうかよ」
「愛……？」
二ャリーは首をかしげました。
先生はそっと黒板にチョークで文字を書きました。
『愛とは、相手のことを思う心』
「愛は魔法みたいなもの。姿は見えないけれど、人の心を温め、笑顔に変える力があるのよ」
二ャリーは目をまんまるにしました。
「じゃあ……ぼくの魔法より、すごい力ってこと？」
先生は笑ってうなずきました。
「ええ。愛があれば、魔法ももっと優しくなるはずよ」
その日の帰り道。
二ャリーは泣いている子どもを見つけました。
ポケットからクッキーを取り出して、そっと差し出しました。
「はい。これは魔法じゃないけど……ぼくからの気持ちだよ」
子どもは涙をぬぐって、にっこり笑いました。
「ありがとう、二ャリー！」
その笑顔に、二ャリーの胸はじんわり温かくなりました。
「そうか……これが“愛の魔法”なんだ」
弱気な王子ネコは、またひとつ大切なことを知ったのでした。
