Episode 7: “Beware of Overeating!”
One day, Nyari was being pestered by children in the square.
“Hey, hey, Nyari! Show us some magic again!”
“The last festival was amazing!”
Nyari hugged her broom, feeling a little shy.
“W-well, if you insist... Alright, just a little bit then.”
With that, she sprinkled magic over the village square.
“Dreams and appetite, shower down!”
Sparkling light danced down, filling the air with delicious aromas.
Bread, cake, baked apples...
The villagers' eyes lit up, and the next moment, they burst into a chorus.
“We're starving!”
“We want more!”
The bakeries and pastry shops were bustling.
The villagers ate voraciously, until finally they clutched their bellies and rolled over onto their backs.
“Ugh... I ate too much...”
“I can't move...”
All over the square, piles of people rubbed their stomachs.
Nyari's ears drooped and she turned pale.
“Wh-what should I do?! My magic... made the village sick!”
Just as tears threatened to spill, a child took Nyari's hand.
“It's okay. It's not Nyari's fault. We all got carried away.”
The baker laughed and said,
“We'd completely forgotten the saying ‘eat until you're eight parts full’. Thanks to Nyari, it was a good lesson.”
The villagers rested well and regained their strength by the next day.
And they all said in unison:
“After all, the best way to enjoy delicious food is to share it happily together.”
Nyari breathed a sigh of relief and murmured firmly in her heart:
“Magic is for everyone's smiles. I won't fear failure anymore!”
This belly-full failure had taught Nyari another important lesson.

第7話「食べすぎ病にご用心！」
ある日、二ャリーは広場で子どもたちにせがまれていました。
「ねえねえ、二ャリー！ また魔法を見せて！」
「この前のお祭り、すごかったよ！」
二ャリーは少し照れながらホウキを抱きしめました。
「そ、そんなに言うなら……。じゃあ、ちょっとだけだよ」
そう言って、村の広場に魔法をふりまきました。
「夢と食欲よ、ふりそそげ！」
キラキラした光が舞いおち、あたりいっぱいにおいしそうな香りがただよいます。
パン、ケーキ、焼きリンゴ……。
村人たちの目がぱちりと光り、次の瞬間には大合唱になりました。
「おなかがすいたー！」
「もっと食べたい！」
パン屋も菓子屋も大繁盛。
村人たちは夢中で食べつづけ、しまいにはおなかをかかえてゴロンと転がり出しました。
「う、うう……食べすぎたぁ……」
「動けない……」
広場のあちこちで、おなかをさする人の山。
二ャリーは耳をたらして青ざめました。
「ど、どうしよう！ ぼくの魔法が……村を病気にしちゃった！」
涙がにじみそうになったとき、子どもが二ャリーの手を握りました。
「だいじょうぶ。二ャリーは悪くないよ。みんなで調子にのったんだ」
パン屋のおじさんも笑って言いました。
「腹八分目って言葉を、すっかり忘れてたな。二ャリーのおかげでいい薬になったよ」
村人たちはゆっくり休み、翌日には元気を取り戻しました。
そして口々にこう言ったのです。
「やっぱり、おいしいものはみんなで楽しく食べるのが一番だね」
二ャリーはほっと胸をなでおろし、心の中で強くつぶやきました。
「魔法は、みんなの笑顔のために。もう失敗をこわがらない！」
おなかいっぱいの失敗は、二ャリーにまたひとつ大切なことを教えてくれたのでした。
