Nicknames

Brandon Davis is called both "Greasy Bear" and "Fat Elvis" by the tabloids. They call his brother Jason "Gummi Bear"Mahaatma 23:55, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Where did his money come from?

Buying Price

In this article, it previously said that In 1981, Davis acquired 20th Century Fox for $722 million with financier Marc Rich. as seen here. On checking the source, it did not say $722 million, but $703 million. While the original citation did not offer a page number, I included from what I could find in the book via Archive.org The problem is, 20th Century Studios article says With financial stability came new owners, when 20th Century-Fox was sold for $720 million on June 8, 1981, to investors Marc Rich and Marvin Davis. and is cited to Variety's first page on June 9, 1981. I can't seem to find issue to verify the source. On trying to find further information,

• United Press International states it was a "$700 million sale" here" on June 9, 1981.
• Vanity Fair said the purchase was at "$700 million plus" here in 2005

If we can't clarify the number, should we just use one of the more accessible sources and state that it was $700+? Not sure what the guidelines are on such details as this. I'm a bit iffy on the Variety source, not because I think the source itself is untrustworthy, but the phrasing of it feels a bit editorializing "With financial stability came new owners" doesn't sound like something you'd cite to a variety article, or even if something was written that way, you'd attribute it to someone.
