- Healthcare Access: As a former CEO of a healthcare organization, I understand how our system often fails patients, businesses, and healthcare providers. Arizona’s overall well-being depends on expanding access to quality, affordable health care, and I am committed to pursuing pragmatic, strategic solutions that deliver better patient outcomes, reduce provider burden, and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.
- Responsible Technology Policy: Artificial Intelligence is here, and it has already begun to change how we work, learn, and live. I have spent much of my career working in technology, leading technology companies, building systems, and watching this industry change nearly every aspect of our lives. I understand technology and will work with state leaders to develop strategic plans and put guardrails in place that protect our data, security, and resources, while also preparing our workforce and communities for the changes ahead.
- Water Security: In the face of extreme drought and diminishing Colorado River water supply, Arizonans deserve leaders who will be guided by science and data to champion water technology innovation, implement conservation initiatives, and prioritize economic policy that enables growth without negatively impacting our water supplies. I have already met with stakeholders and experts across Arizona to better understand this complex issue and identify practical short- and long-term solutions.
Arizona Public Health officials report that nearly 3,000 Arizonans died from drug overdoses last year. We are the only state in the nation where overdose deaths are increasing. I have seen firsthand how our state's underinvestment in behavioral health care devastates lives, tears apart families, and weakens communities.
As a poor young man from Pittsburgh, higher education would have been out of reach without the GI Bill. The opportunity provided by that program changed the course of his life. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees in physics and went on to become a physicist at Los Alamos National Laboratory. My dad’s story taught me that education can transform lives, that hard work and perseverance can overcome extraordinary obstacles, and that true leadership is grounded in humility. Despite everything he endured and accomplished, he never sought recognition. He simply believed in doing the work and leaving things better than he found them. Those are values I strive to live by every day.
