Biography

August Pfluger was born in Harris County, Texas. Pfluger graduated from Central High School in San Angelo. He earned a bachelor's degree from the United States Air Force Academy and master's degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Air University, and Georgetown University. His career experience included serving in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserve and as staff for the National Security Council.

Congress convened a joint session on January 6-7, 2021, to count electoral votes by state and confirm the results of the 2020 presidential election. Pfluger voted against certifying the electoral votes from Arizona and Pennsylvania. The House rejected both objections by a vote of 121-303 for Arizona and 138-282 for Pennsylvania.
