Name:
Named in 1949 by G. Gagarin and J. R. Cuomo in honor of Gustav Adolph Kenngott [January 6, 1818 Breslau {now Wrocław}, Poland- March 7, 1897 Lugano, Ticino, Switzerland]. Kenngott, a systematic mineralogist and professor of mineralogy at the University of Zürich, was also an author of a series of successful color plate mineralogy books.
A vitreous amorphous As2O3 which has not been shown to exist naturally.
