EMPA analysis of an amphibole in contact with a garnet in a kyanite-eclogite. Hoscek (200) normalized the formula setting all Fe as Fe2+. This gives a slightly high content in the C position ( see empirical formula). The composition normalizes better by assuming some of the Fe to be Fe3+, giving a composition approaching the definition of ferro-sadanagaite.
