The phase, reported by Kolkovski & Borodaev (1974) as one of four species to occur within chalcopyrite-hematite-quartz ores from Bulgaria, is likely corresponding to the name given above. If so, it is said that the composition is similar to that of gladite but the phase differs in optics.
