Named after the locality Mondhalde, Kaiserstuhl, Baden, Germany
An obsolete local name for a "camptonite-like" dyke rock largely composed of equal proportions of plagioclase and alkali feldspar, with subordinate clinopyroxene, amphibole and leucite, in a glassy matrix.
