Formula:
Pd3(As,Te)
Subhedral elongated grains, 4-5 microns in length. Compositionally close to keithconnite. May stand for the Te analogue of atheneite.
Associated with iridosmine and co-described with 'ferrorhodsite' and a phase corresponding to UM1973-02-As:PbPdPtSn or 'Unnamed (Pd Arsenide)' (although originally reported as Pd5Rh5As4).
Note: the formula is practically identical to that of UM1974-24-Te:Pd and thus the two species may be identical.
The minerals occur in ca. 2 mm-sized platinum nuggets in placers and are also associated with isoferroplatinum, bowieite-kashinite, Os-Pt-Ir alloys, and some unidentified species.
